The Native Transplants got their start in 2010 as the Halloween “Freak Band” when they participated in the Trail Of Frights in Crestview in Austin, TX. As word about the music spread and the repertoire changed for a Mardi Gras party, so did the band name.
The premise of the Native Transplants is to have fun and play music. We attract those who appreciate familiar, quirky and catchy music that makes people smile and feel good. We take a fusion of rock, folk, country, indie, and traditional tunes and create a sonic mosaic tied together with the grout of our own interpretation, and deliver it to people young and old.
